Ed has more than 35 years of experience in retail real estate brokerage in Houston and has played an integral role in the inception, leasing and/or sale of more than 35 shopping centers, ranging in size from 15,000 to 500,000 square feet. Recognized as one of the most influential brokers year after year, his experience, business relationships and unquestionable market knowledge enable Ed to provide his clients with unparalleled service.
Having successfully represented dozens of retailers over the course of his career, Ed has orchestrated market penetration programs for the Houston metro area for retailers including Crate & Barrel, Starbucks and CVS. He currently represents several regional and national clients including Sprouts Farmers Market, Life Time Fitness and Target. He also works with Trademark Property Company, Vestar, Midtown Redevelopment Authority and Simon Property Company.
Ed has hands-on consulting experience in the design, development and marketing of multiple properties and has provided these services for a variety of projects including Highland Village, Uptown Park, Sugar Land Town Square, Market Street at The Woodlands and City Center.
Originally from Austin, Ed graduated from The University of Texas with a Bachelor of Science in Zoology/Animal Biology. He is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and was past President and Chairman of ChainLinks Retail Advisors.
Ed’s Awards include Houston Business Journal’s Heavy Hitters in 2002, 2008 and 2015, CCIM Retail Forecast Winner in 2011, Top Producer in UCR Houston in 2014 and Chainlinks Retail Advisors Silver Award in 2000 and Man of the Year in 1996.
